Network Marketing Tips | 3 Closing Questions to Turn Prospects Into Teammates

Raise your hand if you LOVE closing. Anybody? Nope? Not you either, huh…? 

If there’s one thing we hear over and over again from our clients and teammates, it’s this: how do I get my prospects off the fence and into my business WITHOUT coming across as spammy or salsey? 

It’s actually easier than you might think… and when you do it right, your prospects will actually be THANKING YOU for helping them make a decision, instead of keeping them stuck in limbo. 

In this episode I’m sharing 3 closing questions you can use to get your prospects OFF the fence and into your business, so let’s go.

Struggle With Closing? Try This:

If you struggle with closing, I want to challenge you to start thinking in a different way. What if what you THINK is a closing problem, is ACTUALLY a mindset problem. 

Because no… no one should EVER feel good about pushing someone into a decision. And if you have to convince your prospect to join your business, you’re going to have to convince them to launch their business, convince them to show up for team calls, and convince them to take action and convince them to keep taking action until one day you’re both SO exhausted that YOU quit convincing, and THEY quit the business. 

Nobody wants that. So instead, let’s start thinking of closing as a strategy to make sure we have done our job, and given our prospect ALL THE INFORMATION they need to make a decision, while also giving them the belief and confidence to say YES. 

These 3 closing questions will help you do this… we use all of them in our business, and which one we use depends on the situation, the conversation, and honestly, sometimes it just depends on our mood. 

They all 3 work, so let’s dive in. 

Network Marketing Closing Question #1 | On A Scale of 1-10

“On a scale of one to ten, one being I NEVER want to do this and 10 being I am ready to jump in and get started NOW… where are you?”

We love this question because it tells us where our prospect is, and what we can do to help them move closer to feeling confident about making a decision.

If they give a number lower than 5, we typically respond with a take-away… and say, you know… maybe this just isn’t the best fit for you right now!

If they respond with 6-9, we say Awesome, what info do you need from me to help you feel confident changing that number to a 10?

And if they respond with a 10… we send over the enrollment kits. It’s that simple!

Network Marketing Closing Question #2 | Would You Like Me to Send Over…

“Would you like me to send over the enrollment kits so you can take a look and decide which one is best for you?”

Here’s a little tip… EVERY SINGLE PROSPECT who watches your video and is still interested wants to know what it costs to get started. They’re just afraid to ask, because they think you’ll jump down their throat. Make it easy for them… and send over the enrollment kits.

ASSUME they love what they see. Point out your favorite kit and tell them how to enroll… we do this with a simple one page website that lists all of our enrollment kit options, points out the best kits, and gives the enrollment steps so they can do this on their own time once we send it to them.

Network Marketing Closing Question #3 | Based On What You've Seen

“Based On What You’ve Seen, If You Could Work This Around Your Schedule Without Interfering With What You’re Currently Doing… What Would You Need to Earn to Make This Worth Your Time?”

This is a great question, because most people just want to earn $500 to $1000. Now sometimes you’ll get some crazy answers… and you have to take those in stride…

But the key is, regardless of what they say, to follow up with this: Awesome. So if I could show you how to do that in ____ amount of time working just ____ hours a week, would you be ready to get started?

Then after they answer, share a story of someone who’s experienced similar results and send over those enrollment kits, friend!

Bringing It All Together

When a prospect likes what they see but is hesitant to join, it’s almost always because of one of these things: Can I do this? Do I have time to do this? Would I even WANT to do this?

By asking closing questions and providing the information to answer these objections, even if they aren’t saying them outloud, you will be able to close more prospects into your business and they will be GRATEFUL that you showed up professionally and walked them through the process.
