How to Find Your Why Quickly and Easily
When you first got started in your Network Marketing business, in your getting started steps were you asked, “What's your why that makes you cry?”
Or something along those lines… about needing to write out your ‘why'?
Most of us have heard this before and, unfortunately, most of us never stopped to actually do the exercise.
While we're not big believers that your why should make you cry (although it is okay if it does!), we are big believers in the power of knowing your why…
Why you started your business and more importantly, why you want your business to be successful.
In this episode, we're sharing a quick and simple process for finding your why. If you are one of the few who have done this before… but it's been awhile, we want to encourage you to do it again today!

Why Knowing “Your WHY” is so Important
Like in any endeavor, there are going to be ups and down.
There are going to be good days and not so good days… okay, there are going to be bad days.
Days you want to throw in the towel and quit! You may not want to hear that but it's true… and if you've not experienced wanting to quit your Network Marketing business yet… well, you've just not been around long enough yet!
Knowing WHY you started and even more importantly, WHY you want your business to be successful will be why you don't quit.
You might take a short break… but you'll stop and pull out this worksheet where you wrote out your why and you'll be back hard at it stronger and more determined than before!
Step #1 | Block Off 15 – 30 minutes
We talk about your calendar and time blocking a lot!
If you have been following us for awhile, you've probably picked up on how important having a calendar and using your calendar is.
If you are new here, welcome!! But get ready… for hearing about the importance of using a calendar. In fact, if you haven't checked out Episode 23, you need to do that! We talk about our top 3 favorite tools for managing your time and Google Calendar is #1.
Block some time off on your calendar to complete the How to Find Your Why Worksheet. You'll want to set aside a minimum of 15 minutes, and no more than 30 to complete the exercise!
Step #2 | Get Prepared
Go to a place where you won't be interrupted, and where you feel peaceful and inspired! The park, the coffee shop, your back porch, or even a quiet, relaxing corner of your home!
You'll need to be alone: no cell phone, no kids, no hubby and no animals allowed! This time is ALL about YOU!
So turn your phone on silent (or better yet just put it in the other room) and prepare for 15-30 minutes of no distractions.
Step #3 | Get In Touch With Your Feelings
The first step to finding your why is to identify the FEELINGS you and your family will have if time and money were no object.
If you were no longer a slave to your financial situation, or to the time constraints of a j-o-b… how would that feel?
Imagine waking up one morning free of many of the stresses you feel right now. Nowhere to be, no one to report to, bills paid, bank account full.
How does that feel to you?
Often it is the feelings that come with an achievement that provide more of an emotional connection than the achievement itself. More time and more money are not the reasons why you're growing your business… but the way you will FEEL when you have that time and money are very much a part of your why!
The worksheet will walk you through how to identify these feelings and give you a place to write them down so you can review them daily!
Step #4 | Decide What You'll Do
This is the part of the exercise where you get to really let your imagination run wild!
Here is where you want to identify 3-5 things you and your family would do or have if you had reached ALL of your business goals!
Would you quit your job? Pay off debt? Take that big vacation you've wanted?
Take it a step further and imagine… “Once we've done these first 3-5 things, what would we do next?” Because remember… your growing & successful business will continue to grow and provide income for you and your family for years to come!
This short but powerful exercise can help you find your WHY, even if you've struggled in the past to figure out what it is! And the best part is, with a clear why you will find more motivation, courage and determination to grow your business bigger and better than ever!
